Lindsey Poker advises employers and business clients with a practical, business-focused perspective shaped by her combined legal and management experience. Having worked inside financial institutions in both legal and leadership roles, she understands the workforce and operational challenges that organizations face, and provides strategic counsel designed to manage risk while supporting business objectives. Her experience within large organizations allows her to bring sophisticated business insight to the small, mid-sized, and large companies she advises, helping clients address employment issues with practical, business-minded solutions.

Before joining Kennedy McCarthy & Rumm, LLP, Lindsey served as corporate counsel for a financial institution where she advised on transactional matters related to commercial lending, including real estate and construction financing. She began her career at a large national financial institution, negotiating enterprise vendor agreements and later served in a procurement leadership role, overseeing vendor strategy, enterprise contracting, and cost-management initiatives. During that time, she also helped develop a workforce management strategy for the institution’s non-employee workforce across the enterprise. She also oversaw regional operations for more than 60 Inland Empire branches, managing workforce and operational matters, including employee scheduling, timekeeping, and overtime compliance.

This experience provides Lindsey with a firsthand understanding of the business and employment challenges organizations face, allowing her to deliver legal guidance grounded in real-world organizational experience.

Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast News from Drake University, her Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law), and her Master of Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She is licensed to practice law in California and Minnesota.

In addition to her practice, Lindsey serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for CASA of Orange County, advocating for the best interests of children in the foster care system.
